Seek Him in “all the things”….

Keep on asking and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking and you will find. Keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives. Everyone who seeks finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.  Matthew 7:7-8

I talk to people regularly who really have no idea what they are suppose to be doing with their life.  They aren’t sure of their purpose. They are unclear about their passions. And they for sure aren’t certain of the plans God has for them.

But Jesus is very clear about one thing. Persistence has a payoff.

Seek, zēteō, in the Greek, means to “seek or search in order to find.” God doesn’t send us on wild goose chases here. He isn’t playing games with us.  He says that “EVERYONE who seeks finds.”

EVERYONE FINDS. That is you. Isn’t that the best?!

You will “absolutely hit upon” your answer!  “ABSOLUTELY!” That is what “find” means here…  Heuriskō!  Simply put, after you seek and search, you will find your answer. Boom.

So here is my question to you. What are you seeking today?

Your purpose? Or maybe you are trying to narrow down your passions in order to find out a marked plan?

Guess what? God has your answer. And he isn’t hiding His hands behind His back. No tricks. He just wants us to seek Him first about all the things.

All. The. Things.

Take a few minutes today and talk to him about it. Be honest. Then commit to the process.

You may not get your answer right when you pray. Or even today.

But this I am sure…. you will absolutely hit upon your answer.

Lord, today I come to you seeking answers. Your Word tells me that all who seek find. Thank you for revealing Truth to me in your time. Help me be patient, but yet persistent. In Jesus Name, Amen.
