the miracle of yes

“I belong to the Lord, body and soul.” replied Mary.  “Let it happen as you say.” Luke 1:38 JBP

What if we replied “yes” to God. Without question.

Without hesitation.

What if we said yes to Him?

 Not later.  Or maybe.

What if we resolved to say yes to every Holy Spirit unction within our souls?

What if we threw off every hindrance that held us back from obedience — fear of man, fear of loss, fear of failure, fear of embarrassment.

What if you answered… “I have no fear.  I do not care what others say… I REPLY  YES to You, God … I SAY YES.”

What would this mean for you?  What is He asking you to do — today?

What if you did? Even more, what if you didn’t?

“I belong to the Lord, body and soul.” replied Mary.  “Let it happen as you say.” Luke 1:38 JBP

Mary replied a miraculous yes. And her answer has changed us all.

Let us model Mary’s act of abandoned worship through her sacrificial obedience…“Let it happen as you say.”

“Each time we say yes, the Holy Spirit overshadows us and something new comes to birth in us.” – Helen Pearson

What would birth in our lives with a yes?  What new life could come?

This morning spend time in prayer and ask the Lord, “What do you want me to do, Father?   I belong to You, body and soul.”

Let the miracle of “Yes” unfold in your heart this Christmas and into the new year.

May 2014 be the year of Yes to God.
