Back To School Blessings: Psalm 139:5

You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. Psalm 139:5

As a new school year approaches, I recognize my tendency to wring fretful hands on behalf of my boys. My flesh goes to worry about their friendships…. their classes… new teachers… will they feel included?!… what plots the enemy has laid out!… will they make good choices?…. will they have servant hearts?…. will they stray away from God?… will they?… but what if?…and then how?!…. blah blah blah…..

I mean. Sigh. Exhausting.

I have a feeling I am not the only mama out there who overthinks all the things. So, this blog series is for you and me, both.

Even though my flesh goes to fear (default setting)… My FAITH goes to WORK. Because….

I. Know. My. God.

And He is a GOOD FATHER. He is all the places. All the time. He is with your baby and my babies and all the babies of all the readers today.

(Yes, they are still our babies. Mine just happen to be 21, 18 and 16. Anyway.)

Join me the next couple of weeks as we turn our WORRY into WAR and claim the PROMISES of God over this new school year.

What a blessing to SPEAK the BLESSINGS of God… claiming His promises and declaring the Truth of Scripture over this new school year.

There will be an image each day for you to save as a screen saver on your phone – or just save in a “prayer” album in photos. God’s Word never returns back empty, friends. It accomplishes the purposes for which it is sent. (Isaiah 55:11)

This year, we send it over our children! Let us lock arms and believe God’s favor over their lives.

Today’s prayer is birthed from the promises found in Psalm 139:5. Speak this truth today.
