I sought the Lord and He answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4

When Luke puts on a superhero costume, he becomes a super hero.  There is no question about it. Wearing a mask, he has super human power to overcome any obstacle.

Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword and with a spear and javelin, but I come to you with the Name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel.  This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand.  1 Samuel 17:45-46

In the same way, David didn’t need much convincing that He could overcome the overwhelming stature of Goliath.  You see, David needed not to hide behind an army — he simply stood in the Name of the Lord.

Today, fear is no obstacle for you.  This world may come at your with spear and javelin, but you come in the Name of the LORD and He will deliver you from all of your fears.

Lord, thank you for giving us your name.  Thank you for creating us in Your Image, strong and courageous.  Empower us today to overcome any obstacle.  In Jesus Name. Amen.
